Lenny's Volkswagen Parts & Services in Oakland Park, Florida

I worked w/ Lenny around 2001 fixing 80s & 90s water-cooled & some air cooled VWs... Lenny was an interesting character to work with in the least & how he manged to stay afloat over 25 years boggles all S.FL dubbers but he was for the most part a harmless hippy... I can not speak for anyone else whom may have worked there or taken their vehicle there; but in all honesty your experience would be mostly attributed to the mechanic there at the time or the mechanic that the car was subbed out to; Lenny knew quite a bit of VW talk, but if you know the Bentley repair manual -like I always use/refer to- than it wasn't hard to pick his talky talk apart; and if you knew your car & talked to Lenny most likely you took your car back quick... When I was there if I worked on your car; you know me... Why..? Because as a VW owner I take pride in the work I do on cars, and I wanted the customer to know who I was & that I was who was doing the "work" on their car... I often reminded customers I do the "cars" & Lenny does the "billing"... When I could I tried to write the tickets to be what I felt it should be, but Lenny would do as he saw fit... I didn't care I am just an honest person & didn't like to see anyone done unfairly while I was there... I know many may not have had the best experience there with how he did business or whom may have fixed there car right or wrong, and those who worked there know hes a chatty guy who goes through mechanics all the time; some good some not; whom they all are I don't know... When I was there I tried not to let Lenny "fix" cars... LoL As for Lenny he is fallen ill -and may have passed on- & closed his doors forever... Good luck on the other side; I can say thanks for giving me a venue to do what I love; fix VWs... Thanks Lenny...
